'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American...
There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'
Ours is a great nation whose citizen's are derived from an ethnic melting pot. A great many of it's citizens, such as my grand parents arrived from foreign shores, applied for citizenship, complied with the rules governing that application and became citizens. As a compassionate Nation we have provided for the application and acceptance, by law, for those who wish to enter this country, work here, and become citizens in turn.
As citizens of this great nation, contribute to, and are entitled to the privileges provided by the constitution as well as those bounties established subsequent to the fruits of our labor.
Illegal aliens place an unsustainable drain on our resources and an inordinate burden on each and every taxpayer and naturalized citizen.
In order to clarify and set aside any confusion, let us first establish the terms "alien" and "immigrant" by definition.
a·li·en (³"l¶-…n, ³l"y…n) adj.1. Owing political allegiance to another country or government; foreign. 2. Belonging to, characteristic of, or constituting another and very different place, society, or persona·li·enn.1. An unnaturalized foreign resident of a country. Also called noncitizen. 2. A person from another and very different family, people, or place. im·mi·grant (¹m"¹-gr…nt) n.1. A person who leaves one country to settle permanently in another. 2. A plant or an animal that establishes itself in an area where it previously did not exist.
Specific laws and guideline have been established which provide for and govern the application and status, temporary or permanent, from "alien" to "immigrant". Therefore, by law by law and definition the residents of this country fall into one of three categories:
Naturalized citizens: defined by law
Legal immigrants: as provided for and sanctioned by law
Illegal aliens
Unfortunately, illegal aliens are allowed to thrive and flourish for only two reasons.
Greed: In that companies and individuals, in violation of the law, choose to exploit
Political correctness in which established laws are violated in the guise of humanitarian incentives motivated by political gain
Those exploiting Illegal Aliens should be arrested and prosecuted. If they do so as a corporate or business entity, that entity should be fined and penalized to the maximum terms of the law violated.
Illegal Aliens should be arrested, extradited and sent back to there country of origin. Should they wish to seek residence in our country, legal channels provided for them.

Federal Court Rules in Favor of Mandatory E-Verify for Federal Contractors
Thursday, August 27, 2009, 1:20 PM
The U.S. District Court in Maryland ruled in favor of an executive order first issued during the Bush Administration that would require all federal government contractors to use E-Verify. The order was delayed once by Pres. Bush and three times by Pres. Obama while they were awaiting the outcome of lawsuits filed by various business groups, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Under the court's ruling, all federal contractors holding contracts of more than $100,000, regardless of size, will be required to use E-Verify, beginning on Sept. 8. Subcontractors will also be subject to the rule if their portion of the contract is more than $3,000. The court rejected all arguments presented by the plaintiffs.
Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. wrote that "the decision to be a government contractor is voluntary" and "no one has a right to be a government contractor."
Last month, the Department of Homeland Security agreed to implement the rule, and it's been backed by the Senate. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) offered an amendment that was adopted to the Homeland Security spending bill that would require all federal contractors to E-Verify on new hires. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) offered another amendment that was also adopted to the same bill that would require federal contractors to use E-Verify on all existing employees as well. Both amendments, however, must make it through a conference committee in the fall that will rectify the differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill.
After the court's ruling, U.S. Chamber of Commerce official Robin Conrad said that the Chamber is obviously disappointed with the decision.
"Our concern is the practical impact on employers ... employers will be required to reverify existing employees who work on federal contracts, which has the potential to impact hundreds of thousands of workers."
"There are more than 12 million citizens and legal immigrants unemployed, and even higher-than-average unemployment rates among blacks and U.S.-born Hispanics. It would be wrong to allow jobs that should go to them to go to illegal immigrants instead. I am hopeful that the Chamber will choose not to appeal this decision. The Chamber should stand up for American workers and encourage all its member businesses to enroll in E-Verify."
Webmaster's note: Let it be known that our pinko Washington State representatives, Murray and Cantwell voted to stop this bill.
I have been closely engaged on the issues facing Mexico for the past 14 years---first as the US Joint Commander for the Latin-American region 1994-1996 and then as US Drug Policy Director from 1996 to 2001. I am currently a member of an international advisory panel supporting the Mexican Federal Police with the issues of drugs and crime.
The current chaotic situation is extremely threatening to the rule of law and the stability of the Mexican government. Mexico is not on the verge of being a failed state. However, thousands are being murdered in the enormous battles between Mexican drug cartels for control of the smuggling routes into the US. Mexican police and military units also find themselves frequently outgunned by aggressive and heavily armed drug criminal enforcement groups. The violence of murder, kidnappings, drugs, money laundering, and corruption is now spilling over the US border and seriously affects two hundred plus American cities.
You may find my recent academic report covering my most recent visit to Mexico as an Adjunct Professor of International Affairs at West Point useful to your own thinking. It is available at www.mccaffreyassociates.com.
I am a biased observer. I love Mexico and her people-- hard working, spiritual, family oriented, tremendous personal courage...fiercely proud of their culture, traditions and language. Mexicans are great friends to have...they are superb and loyal business partners...their senior leadership both political and military are extremely talented and well educated. The current President Calderon is a figure of great personal courage and integrity.
Mexico, however, faces some daunting challenges. Their institutions of government are weak (with the exception of the Armed Forces which tends to be very respected by the Mexican people, apolitical, courageous, responsive to civilian authority and highly disciplined). Corruption is pervasive. Impunity in deference to the law is widespread among the general population. Governmental bodies lack structure, rules, training, equipment, and values that support effective governance.
Looming in the background is a huge economic challenge which is engulfing Mexico. Tourism is drying up because of the extensive violence. The oil industry lacks adequate capital and management expertise to successfully exploit the needed off-shore drilling to replace rapidly depleted land field reserves. The global recession and in particular the huge drop in US demand for consumer products threatens Mexican industry--- as well as the remittances of hundreds of thousands of illegal Mexican workers in the US. There is no social safety net in Mexico. Unemployment brings not just loss of income ----but hunger, homelessness, and attraction to crime to survive.
The US must help. We must pay attention and listen. We must devote resources to the problem that are commensurate with the challenge. We must acknowledge Mexico's 105 million people, her oil, her gift of labor from the 12 million illegal workers many of them Mexican who help shape our economy, and the presence of 500,000 Americans living in Mexico. Mexico is a vital interest to the American people.
We must more effectively control the 2000 mile US-Mexican border. The brave men and women of Customs and Border Protection are inadequate in numbers (18,000 officers...should be 45,000 personnel), are under-resourced, ill-equipped (we need a robust and modernized CBP aviation arm, all terrain vehicles, automatic weapons for each officer, night vision equipment, new border trails and roads, better sensors, more fencing and vehicle barriers, and better training and intelligence.)
We owe the Mexican people better protection of their security forces by effectively interdicting the huge US flow of automatic weapons and laundered drug money back south. (26,000 weapons seized last year.)
Finally, we need to wake up. Most of us in this enormous and wealthy nation of 305 million people do not use drugs. However, five million chronically addicted Americans cause enormous harm to their families, their employers, and their communities. We need more effective drug prevention and education programs among our youth. That starts with parents, pediatricians, coaches, teachers, and all those who care about young people. We also need to fully fund treatment options that get and keep people sober like the 2000+ national drug courts.... and science based drug treatment centers.... and methadone and buprenorphine programs for opiate addiction.
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. Over 70% of the United States annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration. 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.
1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.
95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
21 radio stations in L. A. Are Spanish speaking.
In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
