The Devaluation of a Moral Society

With a total disregard of the principles and values on which this nation was founded we have arrived as a society based on instant gratification, a society devoid of fundamental values, moral fiber, character, virtues, absent of both personal responsibility, and accountability. 

An examination of the facts provides an in-depth explanation of how we find ourselves, as individuals and as a nation, in our present sad state of affairs. This metamorphosis has taken place by sheer articulated design rather than degenerative evolution.

This process entails the simple and gradual manipulation and ultimate elimination of those benchmarks which define achievement, distinguish success from failure, separate good from bad and moral from immoral. This lack of standardized benchmarks provides a level playing field in which decisions are based on subjective, deductive and more often than not, argumentative equations. In a culture void of benchmarks absolution is relative only to the argument in play.  Two and two no longer equals four because two has become a relative value.

These steps to reconstruct the mindset of America took place methodically and silently over the past two generations.  As these steps were being implemented we may not have been aware of the motivation or end result.

The initial devastating change to level the playing field was implemented in our schools when the grading system which rewarded excellence was replaced by a system which graded on the curve.  Personal achievement was replaced by common irrelevance.

Emphasis in our schools and institutions is that we are all products of bigotry, therefore moral and rational thought is an act of bigotry. As a result any decision you reach will be colored by your personal bigotry. The only way to eliminate bigotry is to eliminate rational thought.  Through this reasoning, rational thought becomes a hate crime.

The concept, “Everything I need to know, I learned in Kindergarten” may be acceptable in an ideal world.  In a real world however, there are ever changing facts and circumstance which require real world input.  The real problem is that the majority of the citizenry simply no longer have the motivation to arm themselves with the facts.

This attempt to level the playing field has been further perpetrated by many colleges and universities, the mainstream media, newspapers, and network news as they attempt to rewrite both history and headlines with their particular spin.. Hollywood entertainment, the movies and network television programming add to this equation... Statistically, the majority of these entities have one common criteria… to tear down what is good and elevate what is evil. Tear down those behaviors which lead to success and elevate those that lead to failure until there’s nothing left to believe in, that America is not that good and not worth fighting for… that our enemies are not that evil and not worth fighting against. The broadband spectrum also includes the diminishment and elimination of religion, the sanctity of marriage as well as the devaluation of our national sovereignty.

What then, is the ulterior motive of this manipulation?

Simply this.  When nothing is greater than or lesser than, when achievements are diminished, when values are cheapened and individualism is obscured, each of us become simply, international occupants of this planet, contributing no greater or lesser good and each entitled to share in whatever greater wealth and benefits available, no longer asking the question from where or by whom, simply that we are all special and entitled.

And who are the motivators and purveyors of this plan?  

There are those who would seek to diminish and even destroy our Nation as it exists.

There are those whose desire and objective is to nationalize industry for the common good.  There are those who seek Socialism as the ultimate solution and those steeped deeply in Communist doctrine as a salvation to the world’s problems.  These are not enemies from afar but from within and have been actively and collectively at work for generations, chipping away at the fundamentals of our values and way of life. They march to the same drummer and the same beat with the same ideals and objectives. They are deeply embedded into our society and culture with their agenda which is active and predatory. They have grown, changed and evolved.  They are the Liberal Left.

They are quick to align themselves with other "like" groups or for that matter any or all organizations and individuals with whom they can share a cause or given a kinship.  They are the self appointed banner carriers of the "under-trodden", the "have-nots", the "welfare society" the "working class" the "blue color workers", the "civil liberties proponents" the "illegal alien faction", in short anyone whose grievance as an individual or group can be used to administer their agenda, or, in short "Level the Playing Field".

For the most part, they hate America because it stands for everything they do not.  They are quick to point out any and all faults within our country or abroad.  They are articulate at making America the scapegoat throughout the world, regardless of cause or situation.  .  They have embedded themselves within our government, our schools and educational systems and in short, our society as a whole.

What has been the result, who has been affected and who is responsible for our redemption? 

The end result is that the freedom of each and every individual is at risk, Our Nation is at risk of losing its sovereignty.  What stands as a great Republic and Democracy is on the verge of Socialism.  The Constitution which we value so dearly is at stake.

We as individuals, each and every one, must speak out, strongly in each and every family gathering and public forum available to us as citizens.  We must speak on behalf of those who have been corrupted and disenfranchised by a system gone so wrong.  We must speak loudly and with conviction at every available opportunity before all we hold so dear is lost forever.

Fairy Tales, Sea-Stories and ability to tell the difference

Early in life I was taught to tell the difference between fact and fiction. Back when. it was a simply a matter of protocol to provide the listener with the proper clarification prior to the telling. Everyone knew that a “Fairy-Tale” began with ‘Once upon a time’, and a “Sea-Story” was always preceded by the disclaimer, ‘This is no shit”, after which the narrator would present his case. Once related, there was no further need for preponderance by the listener. The alternative to either of these was the presumed truth which required no such disclaimer. Should the listener opt to disagree, the expected response was an emphatic “Bullshit” indicating that a “Once upon a time” or a “This is no shit” decree would have been in order.

Unfortunately, in the expedience of “Political Correctness” the responsibility for clarification and posturing has gone the way of the proverbial dinosaur. The resounding result is the inability to distinguish the difference between truth or fiction and right from wrong. Gone as well is the freedom and responsibility to apply those judgmental distinctions. In this environment of “Political Correctness” we have become victims of prey whose vocal descent might be interpreted as offensive.

Who stands to benefit most from this perverse environment to which we have evolved?

First on the list is the Network News Media. The Media is in the business of mind control, determining how we should look, feel, drive, hear and see as they manufacture and manipulate rather than report the news. They determine the status, hero or villain, despicable or benevolent, guilt or innocence, and all too often based a few simple sound bites taken out of context and played relentlessly.

Next is the political opportunist perusing a career based on an ever evolving media based political atmosphere rather than long term responsibility and character.

Let’s take a look at how a generational step back in time would affect our world today as we provide the following scenarios. We invite you, the reader, not as a Democrat, Liberal or a Republican, but as a free thinking intelligent American citizen, to read and categorize each instance. You may preempt it with either “Fairy Tale” or “Sea Story”, accept it as a simple truth, or brand it appropriately with the synonym for male bovine excrement.

 
1. I manufacture tomato soup which I sell for 88 cents a can. If the price of tomatoes rises exponentially I should make a fortune in today’s free market.

2. Refineries buy oil at $28.00 a barrel and sell the refined product for $2.10 per gallon at the pump realizing a profit of 8 cents per gallon. If the price of oil rises exponentially to $120.00 or more per barrel the refinery stands to make a fortune in today’s free market.

3. If we withdraw our support and troops from Iraq, the prevailing powers will assuredly welcome back into the fold with their blessings those 12 million plus who voted for freedom, as well as the untold thousands who supported our efforts.

4. Withdrawing our troops and support from Iraq will result in a better and safer world.

5. Hillary’s eight years in the white house has provided her with the experience knowledge and ability to intelligently deal with financial, foreign and domestic affairs.

6. Both Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama would make a fine Commander in Chief and would assuredly be embraced by our armed forces at home and abroad.

7. Hillary Clinton is no stranger to warfare having experienced direct sniper fire during war zone visits. Her involvement and input during the peace negotiations in Ireland also provides her with political expertise on an international scale.

8. The government is your servant, put in place as in institution whose duty it is to provide for you, from the cradle to the grave.

9. A government sponsored, funded and regulated medical and insurance program will provide the most comprehensive plan and coverage possible. This is sure to work much more efficiently in the United States simply because our legislative bodies and elected officials are so much smarter then those of foreign countries from which this plan derives.

10. Hillary Clinton is a fine choice for a presidential candidate based on her ability to make decisive calls and standing by them over the long term beginning with her vote for the war in Iraq followed by her campaign promise to pull out of Iraq beginning on day one, should she be elected. Her recent promise to bomb Iran given the proper scenario should be another indication that she is serious about being elected.

11. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in spite of his denunciation of the existence of the holocaust and his sworn intentions to eradicate Israel and destroy America, has proven himself to be a benevolent world leader. His appearance at Columbia University and his speech before the United Nations will be long remembered as a defining moment of a visionary in our midst in annals of American History.

12. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, in spite of his ongoing affiliation with Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has distinguished and endeared himself to the American people through his denunciation of our President and has shown himself to being seen and recognized as a great and humble benefactor by his contribution of heating oil to the poor residing in the United States.

13. Barack Obama through his long standing twenty year affiliation with the Trinity United Church in Chicago, his close personal ties with it’s controversial pastor and chosen mentor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, notwithstanding his relationship with American terrorist Bill Ayers, has shown that he can roll up his sleeves with the best of them to get the job done where and when it counts.

14. Given Barack Obama’s twenty year affiliation with the Trinity United Church in Chicago and his close personal ties with it’s controversial pastor and chosen mentor Reverend Jeremiah, it is quite palatable to believe he simply was not aware of the political posture of his mentor; or the churches stance due to the fact that he most certainly could not have attended each and every sermon.

15. The tax increases necessary to implement the social platforms suggested by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and substantially supported by members of the Democratic Party are well within the means of the American taxpayer who would have no qualms supporting these goals and far reaching agenda.

16. Raising taxes on business’s and corporations as suggested by Hillary Clinton, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama is certainly a realistic way of financing the liberal left wing’s socialistic goals and agenda. After all, if you’re going to tax the wealthy you may as well start with an entity rather than affecting the general public by raises in the tax structure.

17. The American public, an addicted generation of television viewers, are extremely content, delighted and often elated with a steady diet of Anna Nicole Smith, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears type programming not to mention a constant regimen of “Reality TV”, excessive and explicit sexual activity and extreme violence during family viewing hours. Commercial content ranging from stupid and irresponsible to unacceptable seems to be well received. Polls taken would more than likely indicate that the presidential primaries and political posturing which span three out of every four years to be an exciting, well received and worthwhile content to be explored expanded and capitalized on.

Well, that’s it for now. I don’t know how your vote or evaluation turned out but if you’ve taken the time to read this fare you can be assured of mine.
