Obsession -
Radical Islam's War Against the West
Tuesday May 29th at 6:00 PM.
Public welcome!
Special Event • Free Viewing • Two Features
Anacortes Public Library, 1220 10th Street
Obsession - Radical
Islam's War Against the West is a new film that will challenge the
way you look at the world.
Almost 70 years ago, Europe found itself at war with one of the most
sinister figures in modern history: Adolf Hitler. When the last bullet
of World War II was fired, over 50 million people were dead, and
countless countries were both physically and economically devastated.
Hitler’s bloody struggle sought to forge the world anew, in the crucible
of Nazi values. How could such a disaster occur? How could the West
have overlooked the evil staring it in the face, for so long, before
standing forcefully against it?
Today, we find ourselves confronted by a new enemy, also engaged in a
violent struggle to transform our world. As we sleep in the comfort of
our homes, a new evil rises against us. A new menace is threatening,
with all the means at its disposal, to bow Western Civilization under
the yoke of its values. That enemy is Radical Islam.
Using images from Arab TV, rarely seen in the West, Obsession
reveals an ‘insider's view' of the hatred the Radicals are teaching,
their incitement of global jihad, and their goal of world domination.
With the help of experts, including first-hand accounts from a former
PLO terrorist, a Nazi youth commander, and the daughter of a martyred
guerilla leader, the film shows, clearly, that the threat is real.
A peaceful religion is being hijacked by a dangerous foe, who seeks to
destroy the shared values we stand for. The world should be very
concerned.

Terrorists Among Us:
Jihad in
America
Tuesday June 12th at 6:00 PM.
Public welcome!
Special Event • Free Viewing • Two

Anacortes Public Library, 1220 10th Street
Terrorists Among Us:
Jihad In America, a PBS documentary first aired nationwide in
1994, was produced by investigative reporter Steven Emerson after the
first bombing of the World Trade Towers in 1993. The documentary was
recently updated following terrorist attacks in the United States on
September 11, 2001.
In making this ground breaking documentary, Emerson was the first
American journalist to document in chilling video the militant Islamic
support networks and terrorist groups secretly operating on American
soil. Counter-terrorism officials from the National Security Council,
Justice Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have acknowledged that Emerson's
documentary demonstrated that he had more reliable and accurate
information about the secret terrorist networks on American soil than
the US Government . Emerson was successful in infiltrating key
conferences and rallies with hidden cameras in an effort to track down
the people responsible for supporting and abetting terrorist
activities on U.S. soil. At these events, and on this film, these
extremists state their chilling intentions in their own words.
The film, then and now, has brought the attention of the U.S.
government authorities to the network of Islamic extremists in the
United States that promote a culture of hatred, arrange for training
in bomb-making and target practice, raise funds for militant groups in
the Middle East, and in some cases, support terrorist attacks on U.S.
soil. The film tracks down and shows interviews with a network of
Islamic extremists in New York, Boston, New Jersey, Texas, California,
Florida and Kansas, detailing their hatred and violent intentions
against all Americans, including Christians, moderate Muslims and Jews
in the United States.
Emerson emphasizes throughout the one-hour documentary that the
majority of Muslims in the United States do not support terrorist
activities. He also says that Islam, as a faith, condemns such acts of
terrorism. Emerson also notes, that the Islamic extremists who promote
and carry out Jihad, are as a great a threat to moderate Muslims as
they are to Christians, Jews and all American citizens.
The video is an educational call to action for the American public, to
provide U.S. law enforcement authorities with the tools they need to
deal with this real threat to the American way of life. By educating
the public, the film suggests that effective preventative measures can
then be taken. Suggestions by counter-terrorism experts throughout the
video help us understand the scope of the threat and what needs to be
done to protect U.S. citizens, while at the same time preserving civil
liberties.
Description: Information the CIA and FBI never told the public
is revealed and why the FBI is restricted in what it may lawfully do.
The New York Times called the film, "A wake-up call that Middle
Eastern terrorism is a very real threat to the United States."
• The film tracks down
a network of Islamic Extremists among us in New York, Boston, New
Jersey, Texas, California, Oregon, Florida and Kansas, detailing their
hatred and violent intentions against Christians, moderate Muslims and
Jews in the United States.
• Listen to Islamic
radicals, telling their followers to carry out Jihad on U.S. soil.
• See the fund raising
structure in America that supports terrorists and the legitimization
of radical Islamic groups, hiding behind "charitable" fronts.
• The video is an
educational call to action for the American public, to provide U.S.
law enforcement authorities with the tools they need to deal with this
real threat to the American way of life.
• The Islamic
Extremists who promote and carry out Jihad, are a threat to moderate
Muslims as they are to Christians, Jews and to all American citizens.

"Relentless" is the name of a stunning new documentary that's
playing in some cities across the country and is widely available on
video and DVD. This chilling production presents a side of the
Middle Eastern conflict that very few Americans have ever seen.
Using often-censored news footage, exclusive interviews, and
shocking speeches translated from the Arabic to show the true agenda
and background of Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Authority, you
see the terrorist leader talking peace with Mike Wallis on CBS and
then cut to his exhortations on Palestinian television calling for
holy war and the martyrdom of children. The recent footage of five
and six year olds talking eagerly of suicide and murder is more
frightening than any horror film, and connects directly to America's
ongoing war on terror.

As the "road map" process unfolds, the irrefutable case of
Palestinian hate, duplicity and terror documented by Relentless
serves as a powerful reminder that we cannot let our yearning for
peace shut our eyes to the realities of the Middle East.

2007 Harley’s Heroes Tour Rolls Across America
Will stop at Harley-Davidson of
Bellingham on Saturday May 5th
America
is the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Harley’s Heroes honors the men and women who made it that way.
Thanks to the generosity
of a $1 million pledge from the Harley-Davidson Foundation, the Disabled
American Veterans (DAV) Mobile Service Offices (MSO’s) has embarked on
the 2007 Harley’s Heroes Tour. The 2007 tour will include stops
throughout the U.S. including over one hundred Harley-Davidson
dealerships where benefits assistance will be offered to veterans of all
ages in communities where they live.
The
mission of the Harley’s Heroes Tour is to provide access to benefits for
all veterans and show appreciation of their service and sacrifice to our
country. While on the 2007 tour, the DAV MSOs will provide benefits
counseling to those veterans who suffer from service connected injuries
but may never have filed a claim for benefits or have found it difficult
working with the Department of Veteran Affairs.
“In
the truest sense of our mission to build better lives for disabled
veterans and their families, the Harley’s Heroes Tour will enable the
DAV to reach a greater number of veterans, better serving them and their
families” Said Arthur H. Wilson, National Adjutant of the 1.3
million-member DAV. “Many of our youngest veterans are unaware of the
benefits they have earned. Informing those veterans of their rights will
be the single most important task of the DAV during the 2007 Harley’s
Heroes Tour.”
Many
veterans who need the free help the DAV will provide through the 2007
Harley Heroes Tour are among the 1.4 million who have so far fought in
Iraq and Afghanistan. According to data released by the Veteran’s
Administration, 25% of those veteran’s have already filed claims for
benefits.
If
you or someone you know could benefit by visiting with the Disabled
American Veteran’s Mobile Service Office, please be sure
to stop by Harley-Davidson of Bellingham, located downtown at 1419 North
State Street, between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm on Saturday May 5th.
