Protesters on each side exercised their rights
In response to Mr. Houghton's letter, it is interesting to me
that the first thing that Richard does is name-calling.
So let me get this straight. If people don't think what you think, then it
is wrong (thugs)? If people don't think what you think, people are rude etc.
? If students don't think what you do, then they don't know better?
Mr. Houghton, I have a son that served in Iraq with the 173rd. I talked to
him about his thoughts and I will share them. I said to my son, In my mind,
we would have to deal with Saddam sooner or later. My son said, Dad, We are
needed there. The people need us and what you see on TV is not the whole
story. By the way, my son is going to Afghanistan.
Mr. Houghton, when it comes to listening to what people say, you should
listen as I do. I am not close-minded.
As for the country being robbed by the administration and resources, you
have no further to look at than the previous administration. I am not going
to go into detail since there is plenty of blame to go around. You see Mr.
Houghton, Clinton bombed, Kosovo, Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan to name a few
and I bet you didn't say a thing. As a vet, I supported Mr. Clinton actions.
He had the same info as the other administrations.
The protesters for and against Bush excercised their rights and no one
prevented them from doing it. I think that blaming Chief King or the mayor
is without merit.
People need to take responsibility for their own actions.
